Who we are
ElecCheckAI was founded by a team who partnered together with the hope of changing the construction industry through building something no one else had done before by combining AI language models, machine learning, computer vision, and decades of engineering expertise to intelligently understand construction drawings.
The current team is comprised of leaders in their field who have spent their careers as electrical engineers, government submittal reviewers, AI and machine learning developers, BIM experts, data architects, change management specialists, digital twin creators, and educators.
We have red-lined drawings, submitted documents to permit offices, sent comments back to engineers, built data models, developed machine learning algorithms, created automation tools for design, and administered both simple and complex technology implementations for government organizations and engineering firms.
Why Now
The industry needs automation — not just language model based shortcuts. We know the construction industry has been suffering from falling productivity and rising demand for over two decades. We decided to do something about it in a way no one else is.
Project schedules are getting tighter. Margins are thinner. Experience is harder to find.
Technology is the solution in a time when more money and more people are not available.
ElecCheckAI is being built by professionals who understand:
electrical design
QA/QC workflows
standards and optimization
permitting processes
where risk actually sits for everyone at the table
“It’s fun to learn and try new things for the first time. It’s engaging and a wonderful human challenge to do that thing until you’re proficient and efficient at it; that’s when it becomes a skill to be proud of. However, to do a thing a thousand times becomes toil, and toil is what we should automate, so we can move on to learning, being engaged and challenged, and having fun again.”
More About ElecCheckAI
Grounded in Code — Not Guesswork
ElecCheckAI references a curated database of select NEC excerpts and interpretations, written specifically to support:
Code-compliant review workflows
Clear, traceable justification for flagged issues
Generation of defensible, reviewer-ready QC reports
Each finding is tied back to:
A defined electrical design check - created, maintained, and improved iteratively by our team of electrical engineers
Relevant NEC sections or principles
Plain-language explanations suitable for internal QA, stamping review, or plan review documentation
The result: QC reports that engineers can trust — and reviewers can understand.
Built by Electrical Engineers — for Electrical Engineers and Reviewers
ElecCheckAI is not a generic AI tool.
It is built by practicing electrical engineers and informed by years of real-world engineering design consulting and plan review experience.
At its core, ElecCheckAI is driven by:
A structured database of standard electrical QC checks
The same checks an Electrical Engineer of Record (EOR) performs before stamping drawings
Logic refined through hundreds of real projects and review cycles
This isn’t theoretical compliance.
It’s the institutional knowledge of how electrical designs are actually reviewed — encoded into software.
